Hi Reader, Have you ever taken a training you barely had time to sit through? I have dozens of those ā trainings I paid for in good faith, then buried under the next urgent thing. So when I realized my ChatGPT could go into my folders and pull the actual content out of every one of them into clean files I could search anytime, it felt like I'd found a loophole in time itself. I let "my extractor" š run for days. "Go extract ten more." "Pull everything on this theme, I need it for a project." The file names piled up. The volume looked right. I moved on with my life ā swimming, working, being everywhere except watching over its shoulder. What I didn't realize at the time was that this one sweep was quietly multi-purpose ā feeding not just my own library, but other AI tools working on other projects, mid-stream. Then came one very specific afternoon. I had a real project on deck, and I opened a file to pull from it. It was three lines long. Multiply that by roughly two hundred files, and you get the shape of what I'd actually been sitting on. Nothing about the file names or the volume gave me a reason to check. And the tools I'd handed those files to downstream? They never flagged it either ā they just did their job with what they were given. I've since built a five-question checkpoint I now run before I delegate anything, so this never happens quietly again. One of those five questions would have caught this in about ten seconds. āRead the full article.ā Your Pause is Your Compass, P.S. ā One real connection to today's article: I never actually wrote down what "good" or "done" means to me before handing things to AI. That's the gap Build Your Personal Scribe closes ā it gets your voice and standards out of your head and onto paper, so AI has something real to work from instead of guessing. It won't catch a bad output after the fact (that's what the Five-Question Gate above is for) ā but it makes sure AI actually knows your authentic voice in the first place. Started as a live workshop, now a self-paced course: Build Your Personal Scribe āā What if AI could sound like you ā not a robotic stranger?

Hi Reader, I trained Claude on my own voice ā years of writing, my actual tone. Last week I reread a paragraph it helped me draft, and it sounded like me. Technically. For a second I couldn't tell if that should relieve me or unsettle me. Here's the short answer, since you're busy: using AI heavily doesn't dilute your authorship. It only stops being yours the moment you stop holding the vision and the truth-check yourself. Hand off the drafting, the research, the polish ā fine. Hand off the...
